At our next meeting on Wednesday 26 August, (Howard Building 5423) Arun Cheta will be presenting elements of his PhD research.
I will focus on the relationship between Thomas Nashe and a much larger figure in the renaissance world – Edmund Spenser. I will be examining the explicit references that Nashe makes about Spenser in his works and also how some of these references have been interrogated in the past.
On Wednesday I shall not be making a formal presentation as such – instead I will be talking about what I have found to help me prepare for a conference paper I am giving in September. It will be a fairly informal session with interruptions encouraged!
