Registration is now open for the conference here.

If you have any questions or any requirements concerning your attendance, including accessibility needs, requests for special equipment or arrangements for your presentation, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can do what we can to accommodate you fully. The venue, at Sheffield Hallam Students’ Union’s HUBS building, is equipped to maximise accessibility and the Union are keen to do what they can to assist with individuals’ needs.

Sheffield is a centrally placed, lively city with a substantial university presence, a growing creative economy and a lot to offer tourists. This means that we are well supplied with competitively priced and equipped hotels and other accommodation for you to choose from, as well as being a very practical place to get to from any direction. I have provided some accommodation suggestions below and some basic information about travel and directions, more of which can be found on the university’s website via the link. I hope this helps you plan your visit but please let us know if there’s anything further we can help with.

Sheffield Hallam University is situated right next to Sheffield Train Station. Our venue, The HUBS, is clearly shown on the campus map here. You can get there in five minutes from the station by crossing Sheaf Street and turning left onto Paternoster Row by the Showroom Cinema. More information about directions and travel to the university can be found here.

Information for planning your journey to Sheffield and to the main campus is here, while specific details for locating the HUBS building are here.

Parking is available in the Sheffield City Council carpark adjacent to the venue.

The university does have some discount arrangements with partner hotels in and around the city centre. You can find discount booking references for a wide range of options, including the ones I have listed below, here on the university’s website. These may not make prices cheaper in some cases than discount booking website special offers.

Sheffield Metropolitan Hotel, Blonk St, Sheffield, S1 2AU – £48-54 per night

Best Western Cutlers Hotel, George Street, Sheffield S1 2PF – £40-50 per night
